 BECOMING A 'HAPPY WIFE'

If your marriage hasn't been all you'd expected it to be, just hold on.  Help is on the way.  Becoming a happy wife is about a mindset; making the determination that you will do all you can in your marriage to create the life you most desire.  I do not consider myself an expert in marriage or relationships but I am a happy wife.  And I've surrounded myself with likeminded friends.

I've spent years studying each of our marriages and have read more books than I can remember - even before I was married - to do my best to avoid the marital pitfalls of so many.  And I have.  So although I'm no expert, I will do my best to walk with you throughout this fabulous journey called marriage.

Several times a week, I will post words or encouragement and advice on the Daily Blog and then I'll post a message on Facebook and Twitter to let you know a new message has gone up.  Be sure to follow us on Twitter or if you don't have a Twitter account join us on Facebook.  Sometimes the messages will be from me and sometimes they will be from other Happy Wives but there will always be words of encouragement and advice from those of us who are enjoying our marriage to the fullest.

I also want to share with you some of my absolute favorite books.  These are books I give to friends as wedding gifts or if one calls me and they're having a challenge in their marriage, they are likely to receive one of these books in the mail within a couple days of us hanging up the phone.  Every book may not resonate with you but I hope at least one will and will start you on a path to improving your marriage and becoming a happy wife.

Of course, the balance of marriage is if you are a happy wife, your husband should also be a happy husband (or at least I hope so).  That's why the focus on this site is usually on how we can be a better wife.  None of us are perfect.  Every wife, especially me, has areas of improvement and we should strive each day to be better.  That indicates progress.  The day we stop learning is the day we stop living.

I also welcome you to email me with any thoughts you have or if you just need some encouragement.  But for now, enjoy the site, the words of wisdom contained, and if you are so inclined, the books I highly recommend.  Keep in mind I do not sell these books and are not connected to the authors but have found them useful.  Just go to whatever retailer works for you (I'm a huge fan of Amazon.com but any bookseller will work) and enjoy the read.

Looking forward to you one day (in the very near future) joining the Club and being able to say, "I am a happy wife!"
